She?s on a promotional tour for her new book ?The Best Advice I Ever Got,? and this morning (April 13) Katie Couric got back to her roots.
The ?CBS Evening News? star chatted with her former co-anchor Matt Lauer on the ?Today? show, admitting it was ?weird? to be back.
Katie also noted that she?s kind of in limbo at the moment, as she?s announced she?ll be leaving her CBS gig when her contract expires later this year.
?I?m really excited about the future. [I?m] in the middle of figuring it out- where would be the best place for me. What would be the best job for me.?
As for her most notable lesson learned, Couric shared, ?Be true to yourself? not be influenced by outside naysayers? and as my dad always told me, ?Do the best you can every single day.??
