Signing off after five years of reporting, Katie Couric has confirmed that she is leaving CBS news. Not to worry, we will be seeing more of the veteran storyteller. As one chapter closes, another one opens, and this is certainly not the end for the news anchor. As we learn of Couric’s farewell to CBS News, Katie is looking to fulfill a more “multi-dimensional” area of interest. Girlfriend can do it all, and she’s doing it now! Katie Couric goes on the record with her big announcement—yes, she is leaving CBS Evening News. After much speculation, the news anchor has decided to step down. In an exclusive interview with People magazine, Couric expresses her sincere gratitude to such an amazing CBS Evening News team. Not only was she able to cover outstanding work, but she was also given such supreme opportunity to have been able to report for 60 Minutes as well as CBS Sunday Morning. With her decision to move forward, she is “excited about the future”.
